Financial Assistance

APPLY FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE 

Pittsburgh Elite extends Financial Assistance to athletes with demonstrated financial need who will be competing on a Pittsburgh Elite travel team. Financial Assistance is available strictly for the current travel season's dues. Families are responsible for any and all travel costs including hotels, meals and transportation. Athletes are required to tryout for (TRYOUT REGISTRATION  PAGE) and accept an offer to compete on a Pittsburgh Elite travel team in order to receive the Financial  Assistance.  

 

Past seasons accounts must be current, satisfied and paid in full to qualify for Financial Assistance.  

 

Apply by November 15, 2025 by completing an application and submitting it, along with required  supplemental information, to Pittsburgh Elite via mail or hand-delivery. No electronic or emailed submissions will be accepted.

An independent committee of individuals not involved in the tryout process reviews all applications. All  information submitted is held confidential. Financial Assistance is based on demonstrated financial need, past fundraising participation, and dedication to furthering the Pittsburgh Elite mission. 

 

Applicants are notified of their status and any potential Financial Assistance offer in a timely manner after their application has been submitted and reviewed. Not all applicants are guaranteed to receive Financial  Assistance. 

 

Applicants receiving Financial Assistance are responsible for paying any remaining balance not covered by Financial Assistance. 

 

Financial Assistance received is not considered taxable income. It is only effective for the current season. Applicants are welcome to reapply in subsequent seasons. Please know that we have limited funds. Failure to attend practice or other team events could result in revoking this Financial Assistance. 

 

Pursuant to NCAA amateurism rules, no award will exceed the actual and necessary expenses of  participation (dues). 

 

Applications received after the November 15, 2025 deadline will be considered on a rolling basis with preference toward families who have encountered unexpected financial difficulties after the deadline.
