PEVA Fundraising Opportunities!
1. LOTTERY CALENDAR FUNDRAISER (November-January)
Annual calendars have a unique number and a payout amount assigned to each day. If your calendar number matches the lottery pick, you’ll receive a check for the amount shown on that day. All Pittsburgh Elite travel team members are asked to sell four calendars. Additional calendars can be sold for an account credit per calendar sold. The calendar fundraiser supports the hardship fund. Each family will receive their calendars at the Kickoff Parent Meeting in October/November. Lottery calendar stubs are DUE by January 31st!
For more information contact: rege@pittsburghelitevb.org
2. PEVA SPIRIT GEAR (Open all year)
It's time to show off your PEVA Pride! Check out the spirit items on the ORDER FORM and stock up on your favorite Pittsburgh Elite gear. This fundraiser is open all year! Items can be picked up from the facility. The PEVA Spirit Gear fundraiser supports the general fund. Payment can be made when you pick up your items from the facility. Make checks out to Pittsburgh Elite Volleyball (PEVA)

3. PITTSBURGH PIEROGIES TRUCK (January/March)
The Pittsburgh Pierogi truck and Pittsburgh Elite Volleyball are partnering for a delicious fundraiser!
Orders are due by March 12th. Pick up pierogies at the PEVA facility on March 29th. (Time TBD)
Athletes make a $2 profit on each dozen of pierogies sold. The pierogies cost $10 a dozen, but you are only required to turn in $8 per dozen. Keep $2 per dozen to put towards your athlete's tuition.
Please mail your order form with check (made payable to Pittsburgh Elite) to:

3. SERVE-A-THON (February)
We are hosting The 6th Annual Pgh Elite Serve-A-Thon in conjunction with practice for all players. We are asking that all players on all teams participate! This is meant to be a fun event for the players to help raise funds to apply towards their own club tuition OR to donate to the club's Scholarship Fund. There is no pressure to achieve a certain amount of money... or serves! We just feel it's important for the players to have an opportunity to help fundraise for themselves. Sponsorships can be attained over the phone and there is no need to go door to door but please encourage your athlete to approach sponsors themselves :)

Each 14U-18U athlete will serve 50 volleyballs. Athletes will record how many they successfully serve over the net and in. The sponsor can choose to donate per serve made or they may choose to make a predetermined donation regardless of how many serves are served in our out of bounds. Once the event is over, we ask that any monies collected that might be donated to our Scholarship Fund be turned in by the end of February in an envelope to the Facility office. Any monies collected for your own tuition may just be kept by you to apply to your next payment due, or turned into the facility office and we will apply it to your Active account.
4. NIGHT AT THE RACES (February 22, 2025)
We are excited to welcome back one of our largest (and most fun!) fundraisers, the annual Night at the Races.
Venue Address:
West View Firemen's Banquet Hall
398 Perry HIghway, PGH, PA 15237
A $30 admission ticket gets you dinner, dessert, and refreshments. You’re welcome to BYOB, as well as bring your own snacks and appetizers for your table. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and the horse races begin at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the chance to win on the individual horse races, you can also try your luck at small games and in a Chinese auction. In order for this event to be a true success, we need the help of our club families.
∙ TICKETS: Each athlete will receive 2 admission tickets (blue tickets) and be responsible for selling them. If you do not sell the tickets, your Active account will be charged $60. Please send the ticket stub(s) to the address at the bottom of the letter. You can use these tickets yourself, or give or sell them to someone.
∙ For every additional admission ticket you sell (yellow tickets), you will earn a $5 credit toward your tuition account for the 2022 season. There is no limit to the number of tickets you can sell. If you would like additional tickets, please email Ashley Green or Maureen Ricci.
∙ HORSES can be purchased/sold for $10. This is not a requirement, but it’s a fun way to win extra money, because if your horse crosses the finish line first, you win $50 automatically. Buy horses for yourself; sell them to your friends! Have fun naming your horse (within reason)! For horse purchases, please use the form HERE and remit $10 for each named horse. Horses do sell out quickly so purchase as soon as you can.
∙ SILENT AUCTION BASKETS: a few teams from each practice block are paired up to collaborate on putting together a themed basket for the Silent Auction. This information has been sent to the TCs. You can either donate an item for the basket, or donate money towards the basket's items. Please participate.
∙Payment (cash or check payable to Pitt Elite) can be dropped off at the facility or mailed to: Maureen Ricci- 6412 Ash Drive- Pittsburgh PA 15209. Remember to include your athlete’s name and team on the yellow ticket stubs so you get credit for those ticket sales on your account.
Tickets and horse forms need to be turned in by the end of JANUARY.
For questions or to request additional tickets, contact Ashley Green or Maureen Ricci.
We look forward to another successful Night at the Races. Thank you in advance for your help!
